At first was attracted to this new drama becoz of Oshima Yuko 大島優子, so into AKB48 these few months. After watching the first episode, found that it was a really nice show.
The Getsu9 drama Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu is about the love life of 3 different gals, more precise, the lack of love life. Starring Karina, Yuriko Yoshitaka and Oshima Yuko, it tells the story of a lighting technican Emi Fujii 27 YO, a aspiring journalist(still job-searching) hostess Saki Ogura 24 YO & Temp worker Mako Hanzawa.
Emi is a guy's girl, who just can't forget his ex-bf, Saki failed to find a job & works @ a hostesses bar, but has never seriously being in love, while Mako who annoys men becoz of a serious & heavy personality. Through Saki, they start living together @ Mako's aunt house.
The common thing about them is they studied at the same girl's school. Though they have different attitudes to love & life, they stayed under 1 roof, sharing & letting out all their emotions, making it a safehouse for their emotions.
Episode 1 got a rating 17%, a good rating. When most dramas focus on male actors, this drama gives a different flavour, it focus on female... Love stories apply to both men & women, but it is more than a love story, it tells us a lot more.
The starting scene reminds of Jimmy 几米, a taiwanese pictorial writer. Picture with words to start is excellent!! Through a gathering of the drama society, Emi & Saki got to meet up again, went to a bar for drinks & blah blah blah, start to live together with Mako. Went to a men meet women session, then the story starts............. for 3 of them... With Emi disappointment as end of ep1
